I can't not attend the rally but am opposed to the proposed parking lots. I just moved from Boerum Hill to Clinton Hill. In Boreum Hill, we lived with parking lots on Livingston Street for more than 20 years. The buildings were demolished for "urban renewal". We had quite a struggle with ESDC over this property to ensure something decent would be built there. Only recently, with property values escalating in the area, were there developers interested in the propoerty. I say do not demolish until there is a firm plan for development and try to keep the property active with some kind of usage until then.
